Summer Evening Paddles at Wimbleball Lake

Whether you’re a regular club paddler, or new to the sport, you’ll be welcomed onto the water on our weekly sessions.

We provide all the necessary equipment to get you on the water, with a range of kayaks, spray jackets & buoyancy aids available to use.

Learn & improve skills, journey, play games and activities on the water, socialise, meet new people, have fun on the water!

During the summer, we’ll have specific Canadian Canoe & Sea Kayak sessions, as well as skills clinics such as ‘learn to roll’ and canoe skills.

Timings: 

18:45-19:30 – Junior session

19:30- 21:00 – Adult session

Costs:

Juniors: £3 members / £5 non members

Adults: £4 members / £6 non members

weekly subs allow the club to pay towards the facilities that we use at the lake, as well as go towards new kayaking equipment!

Frequency asked questions:

Q. Do I need to book?

A. No, please just turn up on the day. If possible, you could drop an e-mail to the club to let us know you’re coming, especially if there are a few of you!

Q. Do sessions ever get cancelled?

A. Yes. If the weather is really windy and wet, the session may get cancelled. We will post on the website or the Facebook page if this is the case

Q. What’s the minimum age?

A. The minimum age for the junior sessions is 8 years old. 

Q. Do I need to be able to swim?

A. All paddlers have to wear a buoyancy aid, which enables you to float. participants should be ‘confident in water’ but don’t have to be the strongest swimmers. 

Q. Can I bring my own boat and equipment?

A. Yes, of course you can
